Empower Your Voice: Tools for Civic Engagement
The Linn Benton Lincoln Health Equity Alliance (LBLHEA) is excited to present Empower Your Voice: Tools for Civic Engagement on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Corvallis Community Center (2601 NW Tyler Ave, Corvallis, OR 97330).
This event is designed to bring together community members to learn practical civic engagement skills that help shape their communities. Whether you’re new to civic participation or have been actively involved for years, this event provides valuable insights and resources for everyone.
What to Expect:
Workshops covering topics such as voting rights, effective advocacy, and navigating misinformation
Panel Discussion featuring local leaders who will share their experiences in public service, advocacy, and representation
Outreach Tables where local organizations will share their work and resources
Childcare, Refreshments, and a Food Truck available to ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience for all
The event is hybrid, and you can attend in person or online. Spanish and ASL interpretation will be available for both in-person and remote attendees.
This is an opportunity to learn, engage, and build connections within your community, as well as to understand how grassroots efforts and civic engagement tie into broader health equity and advocacy work.
